On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2 announced the opening and ending theme song artists for the upcoming anime.

According to the announcement, the opening theme song, titled On the Frontline, will be performed by the renowned Japanese rock band, Hitorie, while the ending theme song, Mamoritaimono (What I Want To Protect in English), will be sung by the female Japanese singer, Yuiko Ohara.

Hitorie, the rock band, has showcased their talent by providing the opening and ending theme songs for the TV anime series 86- Eighty-Six and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. In contrast, Yuiko Ohara took the reins for creating multiple theme songs for the Mushoku Tensei franchise.

Comments from the theme song artists have also been posted on the official website of Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2. The Hitorie band members expressed their gratitude for On the Frontline being chosen as the opening theme for the upcoming installment.

Hitorie pointed out that the song reflects the protagonist's feelings of helplessness, specifically focusing on Rudeus Greyrat's emotional journey.
