Gunfire Games has received high praise for its Remnant series, including both Remnant: From The Ashes and Remnant II, which have been well-received by both critics and fans. For Xbox Game Pass subscribers who have yet to delve into the franchise, both games are now available for download on the service.
Surprising many, both games were added to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass without any prior announcement, as Gunfire Games chose to release both titles simultaneously. This addition rounds out a successful month for the Game Pass service, which also included the addition of Thirsty Suitors, Wild Hearts, and Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name in November.
Remnant II was a surprising addition, hitting shelves in July 2023 and selling one million copies in its first month. It continued to be one of the best-sellers of the year. The game's first major expansion, The Awakened King, was recently launched.
In our website's 7/10 review, Remnant II was described as the "kind of sequel that improves upon its predecessor in almost every facet," specifically praising the game's third-person shooter mechanics and RPG elements. The review also noted that "Remnant 2 continues to build on those foundations," offering a more dynamic and robust action-adventure experience, with only a few minor drawbacks.
Now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, Remnant: From The Ashes and Remnant 2. For a limited time, get a discount on a three-month subscription for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled to see Remnant: From The Ashes and Remnant 2 join Xbox Game Pass. I've been a fan of the series since the first game's release in 2019, and I've been eagerly anticipating the sequel. Now that both games are available on Xbox Game Pass, I can't wait to dive back into the world of Remnant and experience the new content that Remnant 2 has to offer.
I'm also impressed by the fact that Gunfire Games released both games on Xbox Game Pass without any prior announcement. This shows that they are committed to providing their fans with the best possible experience, and they are willing to take risks to do so. I'm confident that this move will pay off, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for the Remnant series.
