While certain aspects of the main campaign were expanded, a boss was removed, and popular features like Mercenaries, Assignment Ada, and Separate Ways were absent.

Following the launch of the Resident Evil 4 remake, Capcom has provided updates to incorporate Mercenaries into the game, but remained silent about Assignment Ada and Separate Ways. Although Assignment Ada is still missing, fans can now rejoice as it has been confirmed that an updated version of Separate Ways will be added to the Resident Evil 4 remake. Furthermore, the release of Separate Ways will be sooner than originally anticipated.
