Sam Winchester could potentially face off against some shady superheroes.
The Boys TV series creator, Eric Kripke, expressed his interest in having Jared Padalecki make an appearance in the show's upcoming fifth season. In an interview with Variety on Thursday, May 23, he jokingly mentioned his desire to complete his "game of Supernatural Pokémon" by adding Padalecki, whom he referred to as a "very big one," to the cast.
Padalecki, who played Sam Winchester on The CW's Supernatural, could potentially join the Prime Video series The Boys. Other Supernatural actors like Jensen Ackles and Jim Beaver have already appeared on the show, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan is set to join the upcoming fourth season. Creator Eric Kripke mentioned to Variety that he would be happy to have Padalecki on, even if it's just for one episode.
With the news of his current show Walker being canceled, the Gilmore Girls star may have the opportunity to enter Kripke's universe. Padalecki shared the end of the show on Instagram on Tuesday, May 21st.
Hey everyone, I have some sad news to share. Unfortunately, #Walker will not be returning for a fifth season on #CW. The actor shared this update along with a photo of his cowboy hat. Despite this tough news, we are incredibly grateful for the #WalkerFamily that has been created, both on and off set.

He expressed his gratitude, saying, "I will always cherish the time I spent with the cast, crew, studio, network, and fans who made it all happen. Until we meet again."
Walker, a modern version of the 1990s series Walker, Texas Ranger, first aired on The CW in January 2021. Padalecki stars as Cordell Walker and also works as the show's executive producer.
Padalecki recently talked about the wide appeal of Walker as it prepares for the season 4 debut last month. He expressed his pride in the show's ability to connect with a diverse audience.
I grew up watching Walker, Texas Ranger with Sir Chuck Norris himself, so that show was a big part of my childhood. In a recent interview with Collider in April, I mentioned that for those who have seen the original and our version, they will notice that our show is very different. After spending 15 years on Supernatural, which was focused on family, I felt the need for a change. I wanted to work on something that people of all ages could enjoy.
The Boys season 4 will start streaming on Prime Video on Thursday, June 13th.
The series finale of Walker airs on The CW Wednesday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET.
