Lightspeed LA made the announcement of its first game, Last Sentinel, at The Game Awards. The game is set in a future dystopian Tokyo, Japan and follows the story of Hiromi Shoda, who appears to be a freedom fighter.
In the cinematic trailer, a group of young schoolchildren are seen being terrorized by encroaching humans, while being shielded by their robotic matriarchs. When the robotic matriarchs fall, the children express hope because "the demon" is here. This is followed by the appearance of the heroine, Hiromi Shoda, who effortlessly defeats the troops and rescues the children. The trailer did not provide information about platforms or a release date for Last Sentinel.
