Embark Studios releases update 1.5 for The Finals, bringing a ton of new tweaks, changes, and bug fixes while also adding the game's first limited time mode called Solo Bank It. While The Finals has enjoyed plenty of success already, many fans continue to regard it as feeling feature incomplete. Thankfully, Embark continues to work on the title, not only in fixing the various issues that plague it, but adding in new content through the seasonal model, as well as limited time events such as the recent holiday update for The Finals that incorporated snow, snowmen, and gifts into normal gameplay. Feedback remains very important for Embark Studios and already, the studio has released updates addressing issues or concerns put forth by the community, including major adjustments to how aim-assist works in The Finals. Performing an 'in-depth review' of how aim assist works in general, Embark tweaked various settings like zoom snapping and camera magnetism as well as fixing bugs related to aim assist targeting invisible players. After numerous teases for an upcoming Finals update earlier in the week, Patch 1.5 has finally arrived and brings with it a variety of tweaks, changes, and fixes. The latest update for The Finals is live and in a new blog post from Embark Studios, players got a taste of all the new changes. Largely made up of balance changes, Update 1.5 for The Finals tweaks nearly every aspect of the game from character abilities, gadgets, and even game modes. Weapons like the Flamethrower, LH1, and M60 had their damage boosted, while the SH1900 shotgun was nerfed slightly. Bugs related to inspection animations were fixed across the board, as well as others related to audio and maps.
The Finals Solo Bank It Mode Alongside the major update, Embark Studios has also added in the first limited time game mode for The Finals, place a unique twist on the familiar Bank It activity. Known as Solo Bank It, this game mode breaks apart the teams and instead features 12 solo players battling each other to be the first individual person to capture and deposit 40,000 into a cash-out station. Embark hasn't revealed an end date for this game mode, but the studio is interested in hearing feedback on it to continue making improvements down the road. While the vast list of tweaks and changes will no doubt please many in the community, a group of players continues to wait for one highly requested feature. For those who are unable to use voice chat, a Text-Based chat system remains a highly requested feature for The Finals, especially for those who feel like the game's current ping system is a bit limited.
