The biggest featured guest on Drake’s new album isn’t Bad Bunny, Chief Keef, J. Cole, SZA or 21 Savage — that credit goes to his son, Adonis.
Adonis, who will celebrate his 6th birthday on October 11, made an unexpected appearance towards the end of the song "Daylight," featured on the album For All The Dogs, released on Friday, October 6. Following Drake's concluding line, "Shot him in daylight," his son stepped in to deliver his own verse.
The young boy impressively raps, "Do not speak to my man disrespectfully / I enjoy it when you show appreciation," He continues, "You know exactly what you desire / I am indifferent to your preferences / You may choose whatever you please / It does not matter what actions you take / I will always be keeping an eye on you."
The response to Adonis's initial foray into the world of poetry was met with varying opinions.
There were numerous individuals who lauded his performance. One listener tweeted, "The Adonis feature on 'Daylight' is genuinely amazing." Another person commented, "Adonis's presence on 'Daylight' was pure brilliance." A third fan expressed their excitement, stating, "Adonis's debut on 'Daylight' had me dancing in joy." Meanwhile, a fourth individual further praised Drake's son, proclaiming, "Young Adonis delivered an impressive performance on 'Daylight'. Well done, young man!"
Many people drew comparisons between Drake and Adonis and the legendary father-son duo Goku and Gohan from Dragon Ball, suggesting their invincibility. Memes were also shared, likening Drake and his son to Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant during their successful tenure with the championship-winning Los Angeles Lakers.

However, the response to the song was not unanimous. Many expressed their dissatisfaction with Adonis's sudden appearance by utilizing the "Guy Taking Off Headphones"/José Mourinho meme. One individual tweeted, "Is that Adonis rapping on daylight? Tell him to never do that again."
Adonis's presence is prominent throughout For All The Dogs. Not only did his artwork grace the album's cover, but he also made an appearance in the music video for "8 AM in Charlotte." In the video's beginning, Adonis, who was welcomed into the world by Drake and artist Sophie Brussaux in 2017, provided a detailed explanation of the entire piece to his father.
"So, it's the same old story," Adonis informed Drake. "The goat was fleeing from the other monsters and animals, but its path was obstructed by a blazing flower. Perhaps the racing car was assisting the goat, and there were some stairs resembling those found in a prison. At the top, there was a person who unfortunately perished due to the track."
When Drake inquired if his name being associated with the goat indicated that he was the GOAT (i.e., "the greatest of all time"), his son enthusiastically confirmed this, referring to him as "Daddy GOAT." However, when Drake expressed curiosity about the sale price of the artwork, Adonis let out a weary sigh.
"Oh, come on," the young boy retorted.
For All The Dogs represents the culmination of Drake's impressive run, as he has delivered a total of four complete projects within the span of two years (solo albums Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind, and For All The Dogs, along with the collaborative album Her Loss featuring 21 Savage). Prior to the release of his latest album, Drake shared during the newest episode of his SiriusXM show, Table For One, that he intends to take a hiatus from music in order to prioritize his health.
