He informed Kirisame about Moz's potential betrayal, providing her with something to test his loyalty. In the present, Ibara celebrated his triumph while Senku assessed the situation and sought to confirm any suspicions. Through calculations, Senku discovered that the weapon thrown by Kirisame was a counterfeit, which was further confirmed when Moz observed her retrieving the real weapon from her pocket.

In Dr. Stone season 3 episode 16, Kirisame questioned whether Moz had truly betrayed them, while Moz realized that Ibara had uncovered his true intentions. He boldly declares that his ultimate aim is to overthrow Ibara and seize the kingdom for himself, seeing no need for the elaborate tactics employed by the others. However, Gen tries to make him understand that the situation is far from being that straightforward. Suddenly, Gen notices the Perseus sailing, and it is unveiled that Ibara has taken control of it with the assistance of several soldiers.

The others soon realized that Ibara was gathering everyone from the island onto the ship. It became clear to them that he intended to trap them there and use the Medusa Device to petrify the entire island. However, Senku saw this as an opportunity for total victory.

In Dr. Stone season 3 episode 16, Senku explained that they could use this situation to their advantage by showing the villagers the petrified Master. With Soyuz, who seemed to be the Master’s child, they could easily take control of the Petrification Kingdom. Senku devised a plan where one team would retrieve the Master while the other exposed Ibara’s betrayal, buying them time.

However, the gun played a crucial role in the plan, requiring them all to search for Magma. In that critical moment, Magma discharged the firearm, perplexed as to why he failed to strike Ibara. As soon as Magma realized that his shot had hit the boat of some nearby soldiers, Gen ingeniously deceived them into believing it was an act of sorcery. This cunning move allowed both Gen and Magma to approach Ibara unnoticed.

In Dr. Stone season 3 episode 16, the others took a stolen boat in order to catch up with Magma and Gen. Meanwhile, Soyuz and the others raced to find the Master. Soyuz recognized the hut where the Master was located and upon entering, they discovered that Ibara had already destroyed the statue of the Master, anticipating their plan.

Despite the setback, Yuzuriha believed they still had a chance thanks to the adhesive they had left behind. In a nostalgic moment, Soyuz held the petrified hand of the Master, recalling a flashback to when he was a baby and reached out to hold his father's hand, suggesting a familial connection.

The episode concluded with Senku's group, along with Magma and Gen, preparing to board the Perseus and confront Ibara and his forces.
