Donna Kelce Finds Herself Giggling While Evaluating Son Travis Kelce's Latest Fashion Choices

Travis Kelce’s sense of style makes his mom, Donna Kelce, giggle. 

Donna, 71, analyzed Travis’ wardrobe exclusively with We while promoting her partnership with Ancestry. 

First, we presented Donna with a photograph of Travis, a 34-year-old, donning the famous curtain pants he wore before the Kansas City Chiefs' match against the Minnesota Vikings in October. These pants gained attention as many fans believed they resembled the bronze curtains featured in his girlfriend Taylor Swift's TikTok series called "Midnight Mayhem With Me" from October 2022. When asked about this possible hidden message, Travis' stylist, Danielle Salzedo, stated earlier this month, "When people form genuine connections, they often experience these serendipitous coincidences."

Donna, on her part, described the velvet trousers as "pleasant."

“She laughed as she said, 'He looks so warm. Travis always wears things to bring joy and laughter to people. He doesn't take himself too seriously. I hope everyone realizes that, but that outfit is really nice. I'm guessing it was a cold day, so it was probably a fitting choice.'

Moving on, Donna shared her thoughts on the mint green suit that Travis wore to the Quarterback premiere in Los Angeles in July. (Donna attended the event with her son, wearing a beige ensemble that included a lace duster.) 'I remember that night, he and Pat Mahomes were wearing the exact same outfit. Same suit, same color, everything,' Donna recounted, referring to Mahomes wearing a slightly different version of the suit with straight-leg pants. 'It was a great choice.'"

Afterwards, we shared a photo of Travis wearing an ensemble at a Saturday Night Live afterparty with Swift on October 15. He chose a cozy cardigan adorned with bird illustrations, paired with coffee-colored pants and white sneakers. "He has a fondness for printed jackets," Donna remarked. "They're not only comfortable for him but he enjoys supporting emerging designers."

Donna revealed that Travis enjoys exploring different fashion styles and doesn't seek advice from his mother. "He's quite independent," Donna chuckled.

Donna, the matriarch of the Kelce family, recently expressed her thoughts on Travis' fashion choice at the Kelce Jam event in Kansas last April. She commented on his patterned denim three-piece ensemble, including a bucket hat, a zip-up jacket, and slouchy pants, saying, "At least he matches." Donna praised the coordinated pieces, describing them as "neat," and pointed out that Travis likely chose the outfit for its comfort, considering the long night ahead at Kelce Jam.

Donna and Travis' ex-husband, Ed Kelce, also have a son named Jason Kelce. Jason, who is a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, does not share Travis' passion for fashion. In a comedic fashion, Travis playfully mocked his brother's style when Jason, aged 36, opted to wear shorts and flip-flops to the premiere of his Amazon Prime Video special, Kelce, in September.

Travis playfully commented on Jason's attire during a recording of their podcast, "New Heights," saying, "You've really dressed up!" Jason then shared that he had originally intended to wear jeans, but his wife, Kylie, had inadvertently left them behind at their home because she was running late.

Curious, Travis asked why Jason didn't bring his own jeans, to which Jason humorously replied, "Well, I was at football."

Jason added, “I needed the jeans for after football, and I’m not gonna wear jeans all day. That doesn’t sound fun. I realize now that I cannot blame Kylie for this.”
