Donald Trump to take the stand as last defense witness in upcoming civil fraud trial

Attorneys for Donald Trump announced that he will be the final defense witness in his upcoming civil fraud trial next month, scheduled to take the stand on December 11th

The court was informed on Monday by attorneys for Donald Trump that they intend to summon the former president to testify on December 11 as their final witness in the New York civil fraud trial. Additionally, Trump's son Eric, who is also a defendant, is scheduled to testify on December 6 as stated by Trump attorney Chris Kise.

Trump tells appeals court that threats to judge and clerk in NY civil fraud trial do not justify gag order

The former president and Eric Trump will make their second appearance on the witness stand after being called by the New York attorney general's office earlier this month. The defense has stated that it will conclude presenting its case by mid-December.

Patrick Birney, an executive at the Trump Organization, is now providing testimony in support of the defense. He is following Mark Hawthorn, the Chief Operating Officer of Trump Organization hotels, who spent most of Monday on the stand.

Additionally, four Deutsche Bank officials are expected to testify under subpoena on Tuesday regarding their involvement in the Trump loans. Another expert is also scheduled to testify at the end of the week.
