When Did Patrick Regan Start His Barber Business?
Regan started cutting hair for his friends when he was in middle school and even turned his family's cellar into a makeshift salon. As his haircuts gained popularity, he began charging $5 for his services and even set up a Nintendo 64 for his friends to play video games while getting their hair done.
"His friends would sit there with the Nintendo 64 controller under the cape, playing Mario Kart," childhood friend Colin Barrett told the Philadelphia Inquirer in June 2021.
How Did Patrick Regan Become an NFL Barber?
Following the loss of his father in 2010, Regan relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, where he completed his education at the Florida Barber Academy. Throughout his grieving process, Regan also battled addiction and sought treatment multiple times, as outlined in a 2021 profile of the hairstylist by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
During his third — and final — trip, Regan noticed that former New York Jets player Darrelle Revis was training nearby while scrolling through Instagram. He decided to message the athlete, offering his services for a haircut if needed. To his surprise, Revis responded and asked if he did house calls.
