Joey Fatone isn’t the only one who became a superstar after attending high school. He shared, “I went to high school in Orlando with Luis Fonsi, DJ Khaled, and A.J. Pierzynski.” Additionally, Wayne Brady and Johnny Damon were also classmates at the same school.
Before joining ‘Nsync, Fatone went to Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando. He moved from New York City to Florida with his family when he was 13 years old. Despite the big move as a teenager, Fatone managed to make friends.
He became good friends with Fonsi, 45, who also moved to Orlando from Puerto Rico when he was young. Both Fonsi and Fatone were part of their school’s a cappella group called “The Big Guys.” They connected over their shared passion for music and performing. At one point, they even tried putting on a show together.
He tells Us that he and Luis Fonsi did a TV show where they dressed up in dinosaur costumes, similar to Barney. The show was called The Reppies.
