Highlights
The ongoing Limited Character Banner in Genshin Impact featuring Lyney and Lynette has not performed well in terms of revenue, ranking in the bottom 30% on the list.
The poor performance could be attributed to Lyney's limited flexibility compared to other DPS units, which excel only in mono-Pyro teams.
Numerous players are hoarding Primogems for upcoming characters such as Wriothesley and Neuvillete, anticipated to be five-star units in Genshin Impact's 4.1 update.
The ongoing Limited Character Banner in Genshin Impact is showcased in a chart, indicating the revenue numbers after one week. As part of the Fontaine update, the banner introduces the five-star Pyro bow user Lyney, who is accompanied by his sister and assistant Lynette in the four-star lineup.
Additionally, the double banner features a re-run of the highly popular Genshin Impact character, Yelan, who possesses the Hydro element from the region of Liyue. Yelan currently holds the highest revenue record, tied with Hu Tao. Players looking to acquire these characters should make use of their Primogems before the banner expires, which is set to happen around September 5th.
A chart on the esteemed GenshinLab website reveals the performance of the current double banner after one week, particularly in terms of revenue. Surprisingly, the banner has not fared well and ranks in the bottom 30% on the list. This is unexpected considering its involvement in a significant new update. In contrast, the initial Sumeru banner featuring Tighnari and Zhongli generated nearly double the revenue compared to the present banner within the same time frame. However, it is worth noting that Tighnari, being the first-ever five-star Dendro character in the game, likely enticed numerous players who desired to include him in their team.
Please note that the chart data represents only iOS devices on the game's Chinese server. Although Lyney possesses unique combat animations due to his magical affiliations, he is not as versatile as other DPS units in Genshin Impact. Lyney's optimal party configuration is a mono-Pyro team, consisting of three Pyro users and a neutral support such as Kazuha or Venti.
In contrast, Yelan is highly adaptable and can fit into almost any team composition requiring a reliable Hydro applicator or sub-DPS. The mediocre performance of the Lyney and Yelan double banner is likely due to many players saving their Primogems for upcoming characters that have already been confirmed.
The social media accounts of the game have revealed the introduction of two fresh characters, Wriothesley and Neuvillete, for the upcoming Genshin Impact update 4.1. Although the official rarities are yet to be confirmed by HoYoverse, considering recent leaks and rumors, it can be reasonably assumed that both characters will be classified as five-star units.
Genshin Impact is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile platforms, with a Switch version currently being developed.
