Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction is a manga series created by Inio Asano. The manga originally appeared in Big Comic Spirits, a seinen magazine published by Shogakukan. It first debuted in 2014 and concluded in 2022 after running for 12 volumes.

The teaser for Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction opens with a glimpse of the two protagonists - Kadode Koyama and Ouran Nakagawa. The pair of high school girls appear engrossed in dialogue as they stand on the rooftop, gazing into the distance. Shortly after, the teaser transitions to a scene featuring a colossal spaceship looming above them.

Following the announcement, the trailer proceeded to show several B-roll scenes from the movie, depicting a dystopian setting. The environment appeared to be abandoned, with the soundtrack intensifying the mood of unease and anticipation. Finally, a massive explosion occurred, bringing an abrupt end to the trailer.

Towards the conclusion, the release dates for the two-part movie were unveiled. The first part is set to premiere on March 22, 2024, followed by the debut of the second part on April 19, 2024.

Lilas Ikuta has been cast as the lead role, Kadode Koyama, in the upcoming adaptation. She is widely known as a member of the successful Japanese duo YOASOBI.
