Yushiro, a key supporting character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, was transformed into a demon by Lady Tamayo. As her devoted protector and traveling companion, he proved to be a powerful ally to Tanjiro. Yushiro's loyalty and dedication to Lady Tamayo were evident throughout the Asakusa Arc, where Tanjiro embarks on his second mission for the Demon Slayer corps.
In the climactic final battle of Demon Slayer, led by Tanjiro, the Demon Slayer corps faces off against Muzan. Their success in killing Muzan brings an end to his reign of terror, determining the fate of humanity.

After the conclusion of Demon Slayer, it is revealed in the final chapters of the manga (chapters 204 and 205) that Yushiro and Chachamaru are among the remaining demons.
Chachamaru, a calico cat, serves Lady Tamayo and is part of Yushiro's family. He is one of the few non-human beings to have been transformed into a demon, with Lady Tamayo holding the key to their survival.
Lady Tamayo, transformed into a demon by Muzan, went on a rampage in her village and killed her husband and children. After realizing the devastation she caused, she fell into deep despair and became an unwilling servant to Muzan.
While strolling through the forest, Muzan and Tamayo encountered Yoriichi Tsugikuni, who succeeded in temporarily defeating Muzan. In a desperate attempt to survive, the Demon King resorted to scattering his body into several pieces.
After a significant amount of time, Tamayo regained her sanity and, after 200 years of diligent study, mastered the ability to modify her body to function without the need to consume humans.

Under the care of Lady Tamayo, Yushiro, who was suffering from a life-threatening illness, faced the possibility of death. In a desperate bid to survive, he agreed to undergo a transformation into a demon, using the knowledge and techniques honed by Tamayo over 200 years of research, replicating the process she had previously used on herself.
Yushiro is free from Muzan's control, he has the power to make himself invisible, and also has the ability to control other demons.
Final thoughts
Yushiro and Chachamaru were created artificially without the use of Muzan's blood, and as a result, were able to survive after Muzan's death.
After the loss of his beloved Tamayo, Yushiro chose to express himself through art. He became a painter, creating numerous portraits of Tamayo as a tribute to their enduring love and admiration.
The conclusion of Demon Slayer was deeply moving for countless fans, as several beloved characters did not survive until the end. Nevertheless, their influence and contributions will always be remembered.
Fans of manga can anticipate numerous intense battles and iconic scenes in the current anime series. The conclusion of Demon Slayer in Chapter 205 offers viewers a peek into the future of various characters and their descendants, suggesting a hopeful future.
Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan of Demon Slayer, I have mixed feelings about the ending of the series. On the one hand, I am thrilled that Tanjiro and his friends were able to defeat Muzan and save humanity. On the other hand, I am saddened by the loss of so many beloved characters, including Lady Tamayo and Shinobu Kocho.
I think Yushiro's survival is a bittersweet ending. On the one hand, I am glad that he was able to escape Muzan's control and live a free life. On the other hand, I am saddened by the fact that he is the only remaining demon. I hope that he will be able to find peace and happiness in the future.
Overall, I think the ending of Demon Slayer was well done. It was a satisfying conclusion to a great series. I am excited to see what the future holds for the characters of Demon Slayer.
