Tanjiro Kamado, the protagonist of the Demon Slayer series, did not have only one mentor. This bond between them portrays Tomioka as a supportive figure to Tanjiro, resembling that of a brother, as they stand by each other during their most challenging moments.

Ultimately, Rengoku served as the mentor figure that Tanjiro deeply admired. However, each Hashira in the Demon Slayer series imparted important lessons to Tanjiro. His use of Rengoku's sword hilt on his own blade demonstrates the profound impact Rengoku had on his life.
