In the Demon Slayer series, Kibutsuji Muzan is widely despised for his heinous actions, particularly for creating a horde of demons that terrorize an entire nation, all in pursuit of his true goal - immortality and immunity to sunlight. One crucial element of his quest involves finding a certain plant that could grant him immunity to the sun. In addition, he aims to capture Nezuko Kamado, a seemingly weak demon. Before exploring further into this subject, it is crucial to comprehend the reasons behind the targeting of the Kamado family. Those who are acquainted with the manga will understand that the Kamado family's massacre wasn’t solely the result of a demon's craving for human blood.
Muzan singled out this particular family due to their association with the Breath of the Sun. Yoriichi imparted his technique to Sumiyoshi Kamado, which was then passed down through generations. Kibutsuji Muzan became aware of this and massacred the entire family, transforming one of them into a demon.

Purposefully turned into a demon, Nezuko came from a family with a history of practicing the Breath of the Sun. Kibutsuji Muzan's intention in transforming her was to test whether a demon could become immune to sunlight. This development added excitement to the anime and manga series during the Swordsmith Village arc.
By the end of this arc, Nezuko Kamado had indeed become immune to sunlight as a demon and had even spoken for the first time since her transformation. This milestone led Muzan to pursue Nezuko in order to achieve his ultimate goal of obtaining immunity to sunlight and true immortality.
Kibutsuji Muzan possesses the power to perceive the world through the eyes of the demons he has brought into existence. Using this ability, he witnessed Nezuko standing in the sunlight, alive and unharmed, while Hantengu succumbed to the sun's lethal effects.
If Muzan captured Nezuko Kamado, he planned to conduct experiments and analyze her blood. He believed that consuming her alone would grant him immunity to the sun. His determination to achieve his goals is evident in his pursuit of Nezuko.
For anime fans, Muzan's downfall in the series is a thrilling turn of events. Despite his attempts to capture Nezuko Kamado, he is unable to do so. With the help of Shinobu Kocho and Tamayo working alongside the Demon Slayer Corps, they outsmart the Demon King, creating a highly satisfying moment in the animanga series.

As an enthusiastic fan of the Demon Slayer series, I find the character of Muzan Kibutsuji to be utterly despicable and loathsome. His relentless pursuit of Nezuko Kamado, a seemingly weak demon, is driven by his selfish desire for immortality and immunity to sunlight. His actions have caused immense suffering and pain to countless individuals, making him one of the most hated villains in the series.
The revelation that Muzan specifically targeted the Kamado family due to their association with the Breath of the Sun adds another layer of complexity to his character. His fear of this technique and his determination to eliminate any potential threats to his plans make him even more menacing and formidable. The fact that he turned Nezuko into a demon as an experiment further demonstrates his ruthless and callous nature.
