Dean McDermott broke his silence days after estranged wife, Tori Spelling, filed for divorce.
“Tori and I are good,” McDermott, 57, said in a video obtained by the Daily Mail on Monday, April 1.
Spelling, aged 50, officially filed for divorce on Friday, March 29th. This came months after McDermott had announced their split in an Instagram post in June 2023, which was later deleted.
McDermott made comments following Spelling's announcement, and this was shortly after she openly discussed their relationship and her decision to file for divorce on the first episode of the "Misspelling" podcast. The episode was released on Monday, where she even informed McDermott on-air that she had filed the necessary paperwork.

McDermott initially missed the call from Spelling, so she left a voicemail message.
In the message, Spelling said, "Hey, it’s T. I know you’re working. Can you call me? It’s important. Everything’s fine. The kids are fine but call me please. Bye."
Spelling recently shared on a podcast that she has officially filed for divorce from McDermott after being married for 18 years. They have five children together: Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7. McDermott also has a son named Jack, 25, from a previous marriage.
During the podcast episode, approximately 10 minutes in, Spelling's phone rang and she answered. Although only one side of the conversation was audible, it was clear that she was discussing the divorce with McDermott.
She informed McDermott that the paperwork had been completed, just a formality. It's a simple sheet to check off and then you'll need to sign it. Do you have a lawyer? How will this be presented, as if I've had enough of you? What do you mean?
She expressed her thoughts on filing first, believing that if it's about 'who files first, the other person's wrong,' she should be the one to file. After everything that has been revealed in the Daily Mail, it only makes sense for her to take this step. These are things she would never have shared with anyone, but they are now out in the open.
In June 2023, McDermott announced on Instagram that he and Spelling had separated, but he deleted the post shortly after. Later, he talked to the Daily Mail and shared more about his relationship with Spelling. During the interview in November 2023, McDermott confessed to causing "a lot of pain."
On Monday's podcast, Spelling mentioned that she and McDermott remained in their relationship for a longer period than they should have.
“It shouldn’t have made it 18 years,” she admitted. “I think he would say the same thing if he and I had a real heart to heart. … It would’ve been over a lot sooner.”
