Controversial Claims in Boruto Fandom: Fact or Fiction?

Exploring the ongoing controversy within the Boruto fandom regarding delusional claims made by some fans. Despite the series' popularity, there is a vocal minority making outlandish assertions without basis, stirring up debates among the fanbase.

The Boruto manga and anime are loved by many fans, but some fans make wild claims for no reason. Recently, one fan got into trouble for making an outrageous claim.

From the beginning, Boruto has had a lot of fans. Unlike other series that have to work hard to build a fanbase, Boruto inherited fans from Naruto and then grew its own following. This has created different types of fans, including those who have only watched Naruto anime.

Boruto fan makes outrageous claim about the series

Twitter article posted by Youngwiz

One animanga fan on X (formerly Twitter) @YoungwiMn claimed that Naruto creator and Boruto author Masashi Kishimoto created the greatest parallel in fiction.

In the beginning of Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki starts off as a weak and lonely boy. But as the story progresses, he grows stronger, gains many friends, and eventually forms his own family.

Naruto sat alone at the Ninja Academy, feeling lonely. His son, on the other hand, had everything Naruto lacked at the start - strength, friends, and family. However, as the story progressed, despite growing stronger, his son ended up losing all his comrades because of Eida's Omnipotence Shinjutsu.

Upon comparing the two stories, @YoungwiMn believed that Masashi Kishimoto intentionally created parallels in the father and son relationship. He thought this parallel was one of the best in fiction.

However, other fans quickly disagreed with this claim, leading to a heated discussion.

Anime fans quickly dismissed a delusional claim made by some, pointing out that the instances being compared were not parallels but actually contrasts. The contrast was quite straightforward, with Masashi Kishimoto creating Naruto and then applying the opposite situation for the sequel series. As a result, fans found the claim to be quite far-fetched.

Other fans criticized @YoungwiMn for their statement because they thought they only watched Naruto. This assumption is common among anime fans who see Naruto fans making bold claims without evidence to support them.

Fans pointed out that Boruto's story in the anime was actually more parallel to Sasuke's rather than Naruto's. Throughout the manga, Boruto expressed his desire to be like his master, Sasuke Uchiha. This established a strong connection between Sasuke and his student, making them the true parallel in the series.

Fortunately, there were fans who came to help @YoungwiMn. According to one of them, the parallel might not have been perfect, but it was still good because both Naruto and his son were fighting for the same goal, just taking different paths.
