Conan O'Brien Resurrects Clueless Gamer for Starfield: A Whirlwind Adventure

Conan O'Brien has revived the beloved Clueless Gamer segment, where the comedian and podcast host amusingly attempts to play video games despite his lack of experience or skill. In the latest installment, O'Brien, accompanied by co-host Aaron Bleyaert, embarks on a mischievous cosmic escapade in Starfield. Assuming the role of a character modeled after himself – an attired, slender, and red-headed persona – O'Brien engages in playful flirting and deliberately dispatches a grandmother character.

Clueless Gamer, which debuted in 2014, has featured several memorable segments throughout the years. One of them involved O'Brien playing Mario Kart with Zac Efron and Seth Rogen, resulting in penises being drawn on his forehead.

O'Brien's struggles in other Clueless Gamer segments, such as Doom, Far Cry Primal, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, are worth checking out. Game companies compensate O'Brien for his appearances on Clueless Gamer as a means of promoting their games.

The immense popularity of Clueless Gamer led to discussions about creating a separate show dedicated solely to it, although this idea has not been realized thus far.

Earlier this year, O'Brien's Team Coco podcast company was acquired by SiriusXM for $150 million. Currently, O'Brien is engaged in the development of a new travel show titled "Conan Must Go" with Max.

In terms of Starfield, the game has amassed over 11 million players. An upcoming story expansion named Shattered Space is currently under development, but no official release date has been announced yet.
