Clayton Echard is facing the possibility of going to trial as a woman has come forward claiming she is pregnant with his twins. Echard has dismissed her pregnancy as a "sham" and called it a "faux pregnancy."
In a press release shared on his Instagram Story on Thursday, March 7, Echard, 30, denied having any intimate relations with a woman identified as L.O., 33. He made it clear that he tried to distance himself from her as soon as he realized he did not want to pursue a relationship.
Five days after their non-intercourse encounter, L.O. began to suggest she might be pregnant. Just one day later, she claimed to have confirmed her pregnancy. In a matter of weeks, she even went as far as to say she was pregnant with twins - a boy and a girl.
The news came out in September 2023 that Echard supposedly impregnated the woman after a one-night stand. According to a press release on Thursday, the woman spread false information to the media because Echard refused to agree to her "dating contract" and did not engage in discussions about a parenting plan for the imaginary twins.
The woman has been accused of fabricating pregnancies and doctoring medical evidence to manipulate relationships for the past ten (10) years.
Echard, at that time, denied her accusations and shared on his Instagram Story that other men had also been contacted with similar accusations by L.O. These accusations included manipulated medical images taken from the internet and attempts by L.O. to pressure them into dating her in exchange for her stopping the fake pregnancies.

Echard underwent a paternity test and discovered in October 2023 that he was not the father. The woman later claimed that he was "lying" about the results. She stated that an employee at the biotechnology company Ravgen told her the test was "inconclusive" and that another sample was needed from her.
In response, Echard's press statement accused the woman of being filmed "jumping horses during her 'high risk' pregnancy" and appearing to wear a "fake moon bump" during a court appearance.
In December 2023, L.O. mysteriously declared that she was no longer pregnant and wished to drop the case without revealing any details about her alleged fake pregnancy. She missed her deposition, leading to a status hearing where she claimed to have had a miscarriage before her previous testimony. L.O. was questioned under oath on 3/1/24.
Echard accused L.O. of fabricating medical records that she shared with the media, lying about attending appointments for a high-risk pregnancy, and falsely claiming that a doctor had confirmed her pregnancy.
Clayton is asking the public to avoid any actions that could be seen as harassing or bullying by L.O. He has faith in the legal system and is grateful for the support from his family, community, and Bachelor Nation.
