Chrishell Stause is providing evidence following Marie-Lou Nurk's statement that she and Jason Oppenheim were not on good terms before filming Selling Sunset season 7. On Monday, November 6, the 42-year-old real estate agent posted a video on her Instagram Story showing her, Jason (46), Marie-Lou (25), and Chrishell's spouse G Flip spending time together in Australia earlier this year.
Chrishell shared a throwback of a lunch gathering with the cast after completing filming, describing it as a fun time. The clip was featured in the first episode of the new season.
Season 7 of the show was released on Netflix on Friday, November 3, and it documented Chrishell and Jason navigating life after their breakup. The couple had dated for almost a year before ending their relationship in December 2021. Following the split, Jason found love with Marie-Lou six months later, while Chrishell moved on and got married to G-Flip, 30, in May.
During season 7, Chrishell and Jason reconvened in Australia alongside their respective partners to celebrate the New Year before traveling back to Los Angeles. Soon after, Chrishell discovered that Marie-Lou was disapproving of their companionship - or rather, the absence of it.
Chrishell Stause, from Netflix, made a disappointing impression on me recently. She only acknowledged my presence when Jason was present and completely ignored me otherwise. It's disheartening considering how important Chrishell is to Jason. It felt like a case of mean girl behavior.
Marie-Lou even went as far as accusing Chrishell of behaving in a "threatening" manner towards her. Jason brought up these concerns to Chrishell, but she did not share the same viewpoint.
"So, I actually have the opposite effect of wanting to spend time together because I've heard that she doesn't appreciate it when I'm around too often. What should I do about that?" Chrishell asked Jason. "Every time I've seen her, I have warmly greeted her with open arms and a hug."
During their lunch meeting, Chrishell made an effort to resolve her issues with Marie-Lou. However, as Marie-Lou expressed her feelings of being disliked, the reasons given varied from Chrishell's lack of inquisitiveness to her failure to provide diverse compliments.
In response, Chrishell firmly asserted that her aim was to maintain a friendly rapport with Marie-Lou, rather than establishing a close friendship. "My role does not involve interrogating you. I apologize, but it simply isn't my responsibility," Chrishell asserted.

After filming concluded, Marie-Lou terminated her relationship with Jason and invited him to participate in the discussion. However, she made the unfortunate mistake of misidentifying Chrishell's partner, leading to an unpleasant twist during the lunch.
Chrishell expressed that our relationship lacks depth because you are not aware of the pronouns of the most significant person in my life, and that is perfectly acceptable. However, this also indicates that you do not truly know me. I have no desire to befriend you as we share no common interests.
Jason commented that it was challenging to be caught in the middle while Chrishell and Marie-Lou confronted their problems.
The scenes featuring my then-girlfriend, Marie-Lou [Nurk], and Chrishell [Stause] were the most challenging to witness in real time and were also quite cringeworthy. These scenes make me feel anxious whenever I watch them. It's almost as if I'm reliving a traumatic experience.
Despite the difficulties, I currently have a good relationship with both Chrishell and Marie-Lou. Chrishell and I are closer than ever; we even texted each other this morning. I'm also receiving texts from Marie-Lou while we're having this conversation. So, everything is still good. Although I don't talk to Marie-Lou as much since she's in Paris, we still exchange occasional texts.
