Chrishell Stause refuses to tolerate name-calling, particularly when her fellow Selling Sunset stars label her as a “mean” girl. As Chrishell's altercation with Marie-Lou Nurk was unveiled prior to the upcoming season 7 premiere of the Netflix show, the real estate agent openly expressed her thoughts on the Selling Sunset storylines.

Chrishell, 42, took to her Instagram Story on Monday, October 30 to address accusations of her being mean. She shared that three people on the show Selling Sunset made this claim during the current season, leaving it up to her followers to decide. A viral clip showed a heated lunch between Chrishell and Marie-Lou, who was dating Jason Oppenheim at the time. During the argument, Marie-Lou called Jason, 46, and accused Chrishell of not wanting to be friends. In response, Chrishell mentioned a trip to Australia that she and her spouse, G Flip, had taken with Marie-Lou and Jason in December 2022.

Chrishell told her Instagram followers on Monday to “judge this conversation after you see the WHOLE interaction.”

Chrishell Stause, courtesy of Netflix, expressed her intentions of trying to create a peaceful atmosphere during the lunch. However, she observed that none of her efforts were acknowledged as the situation turned even more intriguing. She expressed her eagerness to witness the responses of others once they have experienced the entire occurrence.

Chrishell reminisced about her trip to Australia on her social media, emphasizing that she had never encountered any problems with the people involved until they began filming. She reminded her followers of a pleasant lunch outing they had together in Australia, where everybody was all smiles and had a good time.

However, Chrishell then pointed out that the next time she encountered one particular person was during the lunch scene that was being filmed. She expressed doubt that if the person had found her to be pleasant, they would have received a significant storyline or been invited to the reunion.

Marie-Lou acknowledged enjoying the trip but made a mistake by misgendering G, who identifies as nonbinary and prefers they/them pronouns. Chrishell clarified that her partner is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, emphasizing the importance of understanding this. Chrishell expressed disappointment in Marie-Lou's lack of knowledge about their partner's pronouns, highlighting that it reflects a lack of understanding of Chrishell as well. Consequently, Chrishell stated that they have no interest in being friends with Marie-Lou due to their lack of common ground.

The Netflix star addressed this particular aspect of the discussion in her posts on social media on Monday. She expressed her thoughts on having a partner who doesn't use the correct pronouns or preferred names, especially considering the global reach of the content. She called for higher standards in such relationships and emphasized the importance of the person who has positively transformed her life.

Chrishell expressed her frustration with the show on social media, criticizing the manipulation by reality TV producers and the inability to feel proud of her work. This rant occurred several months after she previously called out Selling Sunset producers in a separate Instagram Story post in March.

Season 7 of Selling Sunset premieres on Netflix Friday, November 3.
