Chris Hemsworth was surrounded by his family at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, where he received a star on the famous walkway.
The 40-year-old Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga actor was joined by his wife Elsa Pataky and their 10-year-old twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, for photos at the special event on Thursday, May 23. (Their daughter India Rose, 12, was also there but chose not to be photographed.)
In one of the pictures, Hemsworth is seen wearing a navy blue suit with a white shirt slightly unbuttoned, revealing a peek of his chest. He has his arm around Pataky, with one of their sons on one side and the other sitting on his Walk of Fame star. They all have big smiles for the camera.
Hemsworth achieved receiving a star less than two years after he mentioned in Vanity Fair that he was taking a break from acting. This decision came after learning about his increased risk of developing Alzheimer's while filming the Disney+ docuseries Limitless, which premiered in 2022.
During the show, the actor found out that he carries two copies of the APOE4 gene, associated with the disease. This news came at a time when Hemsworth had already decided to take a break from acting, leading to rumors of his "retirement" from the industry.

Chris Hemsworth shared in a 2023 interview with Entertainment Tonight that the situation was blown out of proportion. He expressed his desire to take a break after working for 10 years and wanting to spend more time with his three kids. The impact of each episode of the show made him realize how quickly life is passing by, prompting him to seek stillness and more frequent breaks.
When speaking to Vanity Fair in April, the actor who plays Thor talked about how he felt after opening up about his health issues.
Hemsworth shared, "It made me upset because I was being open about something personal." Despite emphasizing that his condition wasn't life-threatening, the media portrayed it as something more serious like dementia, retirement, and reevaluating his life.
"I came across a hilarious comment on an article where someone said, 'I hope Chris forgets he’s retiring and comes back.'"
Fans of Chris Hemsworth can see him in the movie Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hault. The movie will be in theaters on Friday, May 24th.
