Charity Lawson is showing appreciation for her ex-boyfriend Joey Graziadei during his time on The Bachelor.

"Joey has been an amazing lead, possibly one of the best bachelors," Charity, 28, shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 12. "It's been fascinating to watch this now that I know what it's like to be a lead and also know Joey."

"I feel like I can pick up on people's moods and body language, but I also understand where he's coming from in all of this and the tiredness he must be feeling. It's a lot."

Joey, who is 28 years old, had previously competed for Charity's heart on season 20 of The Bachelorette. However, Charity ended up choosing Dotun Olubeko over Joey in the finale episode that aired in August 2023. On the After the Final Rose special, it was revealed that Joey would be the new lead on season 28 of The Bachelor.

Joey’s season of the show has started airing. He has now narrowed down his contestants to the final three: Kelsey Anderson, Daisy Kent, and Rachel Nance. Charity shared on Tuesday that she thinks Joey has three “amazing beautiful girls” who each bring something unique to the relationship.

Charity expressed her admiration for the remaining women. She loves how free-spirited and bubbly Kelsey is, describing her as absolutely stunning. Rachel’s easygoing calmness is what stands out to Charity, believing it complements Joey well. She also mentioned that Rachel is the sweetest. Lastly, Charity praised Daisy for living up to her name by bringing warmth and happiness to the group. She noted Daisy’s fascinating ability to turn nearly any situation into a fun and positive moment.

While noting that she doesn’t know how Joey’s season ends, Charity added that she’s “rooting for everyone’s happiness and love stories.”

Charity’s comments come one day after Joey and the three remaining women headed to the fantasy suites — and he admitted to two of them that he was “falling in love.”

When Kelsey, who is 25 years old, told Joey that she loved him, he responded by saying, “I’m falling in love with you, completely,” and confessed that he had been feeling this way “for a long time.” Joey shared details about the timeline of his emotions during an interview with us.

“Talking about Kelsey … if we look back to the time she first started expressing her feelings, it goes all the way back to Montreal. We both had a lot of unspoken emotions during that time, but we didn’t really talk about it, so I kept my feelings to myself for a while,” Joey explained to us after the recent Women Tell All event. “We both agree that when she was falling in love in Montreal, I was too. … I didn’t tell her because I wanted to choose my words carefully.”

During week 6 of the season, Joey and his contestants traveled to Montreal. The trip came one week after Kelsey received her first one-on-one date in Marbella, Spain. She later got a second one-on-one date in Jasper, Canada, where they did the polar plunge.

Joey shared, "It was really after our second one-on-one in Jasper that I felt how great that day was. We were moving forward, and I realized I was falling in love with her. But expressing those feelings takes time and the right moment to share them."

The Bachelor airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
