Falling in love with multiple contestants is a cautionary tale in Bachelor Nation. However, Charity Lawson, who is preparing to relive her journey on season 20 of The Bachelorette, insists that it can happen to anyone.
"I encourage everyone to test it out for themselves if they don't believe it. Although I don't know when you'll have the opportunity to be the Bachelorette or Bachelor, try it in the real world and you'll find out," the 27-year-old revealed exclusively to us. "Considering the circumstances and the amount of time we have to truly focus on these connections, it is definitely possible and something I never thought would happen."
During an interview with Extra earlier this month, Charity openly acknowledged that viewers will witness her expressing her love for two individuals. While playfully discussing her preferences for potential partners with Us, she humorously mentioned her insistence on a certain height criteria.
"It's obvious, I mean, everyone should be at least six feet tall!" she chuckled. "I'm just so tiny compared to everyone else."

Charity, the fourth Black Bachelorette, expressed that she had no specific preferences when it came to her future partner. She stated that she was open to dating anyone, regardless of their background or type. She appreciated that the show took her words literally and included a diverse cast. Charity made it clear that she wanted to prioritize diversity and inclusivity, as she felt it was important to break away from the standard type of contestants. She emphasized that viewers would witness this diversity among the great group of guys on the show.
Charity revealed her mix of nerves and excitement ahead of Monday's premiere. As the Bachelorette season 27 alum, she experienced a surreal moment upon being announced and realizing her role. The initial feeling was overwhelming, but she was ultimately thrilled. Now that filming has concluded, she acknowledges the anxiety-inducing aspect of having her entire story unfold before the world. Nevertheless, she remains genuinely excited and confident that it will be a great season that viewers will enjoy.
The Bachelorette airs on ABC Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
