Soap opera fans are grieving the loss of actor Billy Miller, who tragically passed away at the age of 43 in Austin, Texas on Friday, September 15. According to an autopsy report released in December, his death has been ruled a suicide, with the cause being a gunshot wound.
Numerous celebrities expressed their condolences on social media following the death of Miller, who had roles on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and All My Children throughout his career. The Young and the Restless released a statement on their official X page, saying, "The daytime community is saddened by the passing of Billy Miller, who brought his talent to the role of Billy Abbott for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones."

The soap opera world is mourning the death of actor Billy Miller.
Miller passed away at the age of 43 in Austin, Texas on Friday, September 15. An autopsy report in December officially declared his death as suicide due to a gunshot wound. In the wake of his passing, numerous celebrities paid homage to Miller, known for his roles on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and All My Children.
"The daytime community is deeply saddened by the passing of Billy Miller, known for his role as Billy Abbott on Y&R for many years," said a statement from The Young and the Restless’ official X page. "Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones."
The social media account for The Bold and the Beautiful praised Miller as "a talented actor and a wonderful man" who "made a lasting impact" on the show.

Bergman, who portrayed Miller’s brother on The Young and the Restless, expressed his sadness to the New York Post in December, stating, “It’s truly devastating. It feels like losing a family member.” He also noted that the cast of The Young and the Restless continues to mourn Miller’s death and frequently discusses it.

"I remember advising him to reconsider, because it's rare for an actor to be given a part that fits them so perfectly. I warned him not to make the same mistakes I've seen other actors make over my 60 years in the business, thinking they are indispensable," Braeden wrote.
