Cate Blanchett showed that you can embrace high fashion while still being sustainable.
During Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, March 5, the 54-year-old actress appeared at the Louis Vuitton fall/winter show. She looked stunning in a luxurious teal cape top from the brand, which she paired with leather lace-up pants and pointed-toe pumps.
Blanchett looked stunning at the Academy Awards. She wore squared sunglasses, dangling earrings, and had her blonde hair styled in an elegant updo. To complete her look, she paired the statement piece with a black maxi skirt that cascaded into a train behind her.
Blanchett has previously worn the same sparkly black Armani Privé gown at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards. This isn't the first time she has re-worn a red carpet ensemble.

Elizabeth Stewart, Blanchett's stylist, shared on Instagram that the gown was custom made using "repurposed lace" from a dress Blanchett wore in 2018 and 2014.
At the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Blanchett stunned in the original gown - a sheer black lace dress with a wide skirt, open back, and delicate high-neck. The dress also had metallic sequins at the hem. Blanchett completed the look with black open-toe heels and a chic updo hairstyle.
Who Is the Most Stylish Female Star of All Time?
Blanchett first debuted the original design at the 2014 Golden Globes in Los Angeles, pairing the piece with diamonds and retro pinned curls.
At the 2023 SAGs, Armani Privé took the classic style up a notch with a touch of sexiness.
Blanchett wowed in a stunning black gown with a plunging neckline and a lace bodice. The dress also had stylish cutouts at her waist, elegantly covered with floral netting.
Blanchett shared her thoughts on rewearing clothes in a March 2023 interview with the Business of Fashion. She emphasized that it should be normal and not surprising to wear clothes multiple times in our daily lives.
According to Blanchett, people naturally rewear clothes as a habit, a choice, or out of necessity.
