Carlos PenaVega and Alexa PenaVega's Incredible Love Story: A Captivating Journey Through Time
Carlos PenaVega and Alexa PenaVega have made a commitment to equality in their partnership and have taken the step of changing their names to reflect this. Prior to her relationship with Carlos, Alexa, known for her role in Spy Kids, was married to Sean Covel from 2010 to 2012. Carlos proposed to her in September 2013, and the couple got married in Mexico in January 2014.
"We feel truly fortunate to have shared this extraordinary day with our loved ones," said the newly married couple, who originally met at a Bible study program. In a statement to We, they expressed their excitement for a joyful and prosperous life together.
Aside from their personal lives, Alexa and Carlos frequently collaborate on various sets. They have showcased their undeniable on-screen chemistry in several Hallmark movies, such as Love at Sea in 2016, where their firstborn son, Ocean, even made an appearance.

Carlos PenaVega and Alexa PenaVega have made a commitment to being totally equal in their partnership — and changed their names to prove it.
Previously married to Sean Covel from 2010 to 2012, the Spy Kids actress then moved on with the Nickelodeon alum the following year. In September 2013, Carlos proposed and the couple got married in Mexico in January 2014. The then-newlyweds, who met at a Bible study program, expressed their gratitude for being able to celebrate their special day with their loved ones and looked forward to a joyful and fulfilling life together.
Alexa and Carlos frequently spend time together on sets, aside from their lives at home. They have showcased their chemistry in several Hallmark films, including Love at Sea in 2016, where their first child, son Ocean, even appeared.
Adding to their family, Alexa and Carlos welcomed son Kingston in 2019 and daughter Rio in 2021, in addition to their son Ocean who was born in 2016. In November 2023, Alexa shared the news of her fourth pregnancy with Carlos.

2014
After revealing their engagement in September 2013, the couple celebrated their wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Carlos, the Webheads host, and Alexa combined their last names (Pena and Vega respectively) to form PenaVega as they exchanged their vows. In an interview with Mario Lopez in 2018, Carlos expressed their long-standing desire to have their surname as PenaVega.

2015
Season 21 of Dancing With the Stars saw the participation of the PenaVegas. Carlos teamed up with Witney Carson, whereas Alexa danced alongside Mark Ballas. Despite not winning the mirrorball trophy, the couple expressed their openness to returning for another chance at redemption in an interview with TV Insider in August 2018.

2016
The couple played the main romantic roles in Love at Sea, a Hallmark film that took place on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. In an interview with TV Insider, Alexa expressed her love for working with her husband, emphasizing their deep understanding of each other's boundaries and their ability to be more playful on set. She believes that there is something truly special about the opportunity to collaborate with one's spouse.

2016
On December 7, the couple welcomed their first child, son Ocean. "Little gift from God that I get to share with my husband. ," Alexa gushed via Instagram at the time.

2019
"It's official! We are now a family of 4!" Carlos announced via Instagram after the pair's second son, Kingston, arrived on July 2.

2020
During the initial stages of the COVID-19 outbreak, the duo took it upon themselves to keep their followers informed about their experiences during quarantine via their dedicated YouTube channel. One of their vlogs showcased the involvement of the "Picture This" vocalist and the Sleepover star in a game of corn hole, with their children joyfully running around the yard.

2021
"AND just like that … our family has grown to a party of five!" Carlos shared on Instagram, announcing his wife's departure from the hospital with their newborn daughter, Rio, in May. Just a week after her birth, he had updated his social media followers, revealing that Rio was thriving in the NICU, and couldn't wait to join her brothers in their playful adventures!

2022
In June, the duo released a book called What If Love Is the Point? Living for Jesus in a Self-Consumed World. In this memoir, they candidly shared their individual stories prior to their meeting and delved into the challenges they have faced as a couple. "We experience both highs and lows in our marriage. Some days, we excel at prioritizing and being intentional, while other days we struggle immensely," they wrote. "Marriage cannot be an eternal state of perfect happiness. Let us not be deceived by others. Everyone encounters difficulties, and they can be quite unpleasant."

2022
Carlos embarked on Big Time Rush’s summer tour accompanied by his family. He expressed his unwavering determination to not spend three months apart from his loved ones. Through an Instagram post, he wrote, "There is no way I am spending 3 months away from the people that matter most to me. Don’t get me wrong. It’s challenging." He further added, "We had to pay for our own bus...And sometimes sleep is not guaranteed...but it has been worth every penny and sleepless night. Love our little team like no other. If I’ve learned anything — fight for your family. Fight to be together when you can. And don’t take any moment for granted. We are not promised tomorrow."

February 2023
The A Paris Proposal star gushed to Us about costarring with Carlos (and son Ocean!) in several Hallmark movies.
“They have provided us with incredible creative freedom to bring forth projects that we truly love and take pride in,” Alexa exclusively told Us about the TV network. “In the early stages of our careers at Hallmark, there were very few instances of spouses working together as actors. They were the ones who wanted to give us the opportunity to make it possible. And now, you see it much more frequently in Hollywood, but six years ago? It was unheard of. Husband-wife duos on screen were not a common occurrence.”

February 2023
During an interview on the "Heaven in Your Home" podcast, Alexa admitted that there were times when she and her partner would not connect during intimacy.
While she enjoyed it, she confessed that it wasn't something she constantly longed for. Understandably, her partner desired her to desire him. As a result, she made a conscious effort to invest more in their sexual relationship.
Initially, it wasn't because she was fully enthusiastic and eager, but rather a situation where she compared it to the early days of starting a gym routine. You might not feel like going at first, but once you do, it becomes a habit and you start to feel the positive effects on your body.

It was revealed by Alexa on Instagram that she and Carlos were preparing to welcome a new addition to their family. In her post, she expressed her gratitude for their love of adventures and shared photos from their maternity shoot. They are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their fourth child.
