Cardi B remained unaffected by Kanye West's attempt to provoke her.
On October 1, a video from a previously shelved 2018 documentary emerged, showing West alleging that Cardi B is a creation of a music industry conspiracy. In the clip, West seemed to suggest that Kris Jenner's partner, Corey Gamble, is a CIA operative, before stating that Cardi B is a puppet of the Illuminati. According to West, the rapper known for her hit song "Bodak Yellow" does not write her own lyrics and is only present to project ignorance while creating songs centered around acquiring wealth and disregarding others.
"[Cardi] has basically replaced Nicki Minaj on purpose, as if they deliberately chose her to take her place," West appeared to imply in the video. "And now she's lost and clueless, not understanding what the hell is happening. She thinks it's just some random stroke of luck. It's not luck at all."
Cardi B seemingly handled this old rant with composure. Instead of reacting angrily, Cardi tweeted and then deleted a clip of West's interview with Jason Lee from "Hollywood Unlocked." In the clip, recorded in 2022, West, who had contributed a verse to her song "Hot Sh—t," which she had released that year, praised Cardi and claimed to have been a supporter from the very beginning."
He expressed unwavering belief in her ever since her appearance on Love & Hip-Hop: New York. Accompanying the statement on October 1, Cardi also included a red heart emoji. However, she has since removed her response.

The alleged documentary was filmed in 2018, coinciding with the release of Cardi's highly successful debut album, Invasion of Privacy. At the same time, Minaj, aged 40, released her fourth studio album, Queen. Since then, Cardi has put out several singles, including her recent collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion called "Bongos." Cardi has stated that her highly anticipated second album won't be released until 2024. On the other hand, Minaj is set to release her fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2, on November 17.
West's remarks about Cardi are not the sole aspect of his history that has recently resurfaced. His month-long affair with Julia Fox came into focus again prior to the publication of her memoir, titled Down The Drain, which will be released on October 10. In her book, Fox, aged 33, mentioned that there was hardly any sexual activity between her and West during their time together. She further stated that their relationship would only be discussed briefly, spanning approximately six pages in the book.
"I believe I approached it with a light touch. I am not attempting to hold any grudges or anything of that nature," she expressed. "It is all in the past."
