Cardi B is known for being open and honest with her fans, even when it comes to sharing moments that she may find embarrassing and want to escape from.

One of these moments occurred when Cardi, 31, attended Jason Lee's Hollywood Cares event in Los Angeles. During an Instagram Live on Saturday, March 30, just days after the star-studded gala, Cardi shared the story of what happened at the party.

I was chatting with Paris Hilton and Rihanna. I tend to smile when I get nervous, so I was grinning throughout the conversation. I was so excited, saying things like, 'Oh my God, yeah!' I was really close to Paris Hilton because we were sitting next to each other. But when I got home, I realized something embarrassing.

I found out that I had a piece of black food stuck to my teeth the entire time! No one had mentioned it to me the whole night. Can you believe it?

She confessed to being a little tipsy and buzzed at the gala. Cardi admitted, "I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I hope that [Paris] didn’t notice.’ When I got home and saw the food, I just buried myself in my bed because it was so embarrassing." Cardi revealed that she couldn't sleep all night, worrying about how she might have embarrassed herself in front of the Simple Life star.

Cardi has openly shared her struggles with anxiety throughout the years. During the March 16 episode of 360 With Speedy, Cardi opened up about feeling overwhelmed by the expectations for her next album following the success of 2018's Invasion of Privacy. She expressed, "A lot of people think I'm scared to release music. Last year, I didn't release much because I was scared to do anything."

The mounting pressure caused Cardi to step back from the public eye. She admitted to feeling anxious about going Live on Instagram, posting pictures, or even going out to the club. Cardi confessed that she dreaded facing people's opinions and comments the next day.

"I used to love talking about politics and everything," she shared. "But now, I don't even want to discuss it because I'm tired of constantly being criticized and attacked."

Cardi seems to have overcome these fears. With encouragement from her estranged husband Offset, she dropped "Like What (Freestyle)" on March 1. Just two weeks later, she released "Enough (Miami)." The first song made it to the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, while the second one reached No. 9, marking Cardi's 12th Top 10 hit.
