Cardi B recently discussed the future of her marriage with Offset, her estranged husband, nearly six months after they separated. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper, 31, shared that they have their own challenges as they come from different backgrounds. She admitted that at times, her career takes precedence over her role as a wife, followed by her children. Sometimes, she unintentionally prioritizes other things over her relationship. (The couple has two children together, daughter Kulture, 5, and son Wave, 2.)
Despite prioritizing her work over her relationship, Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, opened up about what she values in Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, 32, during their time apart.
She expressed, "What I really love is that we genuinely like each other and serve as a strong support system. We are each other's biggest cheerleaders. I'm not very social and I prefer not to talk to people. If I need something, he's the one who will handle the communication because I don't enjoy asking for things."
Cardi B shared that when it comes to the future of their relationship, love is not the only factor to consider. She mentioned that they both carefully think things through because they have a strong bond and friendship. For them, it's more about having a supportive partner and best friend. They value their connection and see each other as important pillars of support in their lives.
