Cardi B Announces Separation from Offset

Cardi B announces separation from fellow rapper Offset, confirming the end of their marriage

Cardi B and her husband, fellow rapper Offset, have parted ways.

In a recent Instagram Live shared on social media, Cardi said shes been sharing clues that they are no longer a couple.

"I've been single for a while now, and I've been hesitant to, well, not exactly hesitant, I just don't know how to make it public. But I feel like today is a signal," she explained. "The last time I went live, I actually wanted to share with you guys. But I didn't know how, so I changed my mind. This has been going on for a while now. I just took it as a sign."

The "sign" she mentioned referred to some online drama involving Offset's name being linked to cheating allegations that he has denied on social media.

"I dont think its true, I dont care to find out," Cardi B said of the chatter.

Instead, it appears that she wants to focus on the future.

"I want to start off 2024 feeling refreshed and open," she shared during the IG Live. "I'm not sure, but I'm eager for a new life, a fresh start. And yeah, I'm thrilled."

After he proposed to her onstage in October 2017, the couple announced their engagement. It was later discovered that they had secretly wed in his hometown of Atlanta in September of that same year.

The couple has two children, a 5-year-old daughter named Kulture and a 2-year-old son named Wave. Cardi B. and Offset have a history of splitting up, including a well-known incident in 2018 when he interrupted her performance at the Rolling Loud Festival in Los Angeles to plead for her forgiveness.
