Cardi B and Offset were seen holding hands at a Met Gala afterparty in New York City on Monday, May 7. The couple, who have had their ups and downs, walked together as they made their way to Richie Akiva's 10th annual "The After" party at Casa Cipriani. A-list celebrities like Usher, Serena Williams, Doja Cat, Teyana Taylor, Odell Beckham Jr., Janelle Monae, Lil Nas X, and Lizzo joined in the festivities at the event.

Cardi, 31, and Offset, 32, have had their share of breakups and makeups since tying the knot in September 2017. In December 2023, Cardi announced their split once again, stating that she was now "single" following Offset's denial of cheating with rapper Chrisean Rock.

Despite their ups and downs, the couple seemed to be going strong on Monday. Offset showed his support for Cardi as she took the stage at her own afterparty, co-hosted with Revolve and Fwrd at Silencio nightclub. The event was also attended by Cardi's sister, Hennessy Carolina.

Offset was not seen with his wife at the Met Gala red carpet. Cardi B, the "Up" rapper, wore a huge black Windowsen couture ball gown that was so large, it took eight people to carry the skirt up the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Following the gala, Cardi changed into a red corset gown by Revolve Atelier for the after parties.

Cardi and Offset fueled rumors of a reunion by celebrating Valentine's Day together at Carbone in Miami. They were also seen at the New York Knicks playoff game on April 30 at Madison Square Garden, cheering for the team against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Recently, Cardi and Offset collaborated on her music video for "Like What (Freestyle)", which was released on March 1. Offset took on the role of director for the project, showing their continued partnership in the music industry.

Three weeks after Cardi announced she was single in December, they celebrated the new year together in Miami. Cardi shared on social media that they had sex that night.

Even though they hooked up, Cardi clarified that they did not get back together officially.

In a recent interview, she opened up about the current state of her relationship. Despite being together for seven years and married for the same amount of time, she doesn't feel like they are back together. She emphasized that going out for a fun night or being intimate is not the solution to their issues. They both need to focus on improving their communication and addressing their individual shortcomings.

The couple shares two children together, a daughter named Kulture who is 5 years old and a son named Wave who is 2 years old. In addition to their children, Offset also has three other children from previous relationships: 14-year-old Jordan, 9-year-old Kody, and 9-year-old Kalea.

Cardi made a grand entrance at the Met Gala, following her recent confession about avoiding public events and postponing new music in 2023 due to anxiety.

In a March interview on 360 with Speedy, the 31-year-old artist expressed feeling lost amidst the pressures of the music industry. She revealed that comments from critics and fans speculating about her fear of releasing new music had contributed to her hesitance. Last year, she found herself holding back on music releases out of fear of taking any risks.

She confessed, "I used to feel scared about going live, posting pictures, going to the club, and worrying about what people would say about me the next day."

It has been six years since the rapper dropped her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, which went four times platinum. Fans are eagerly awaiting her next release. Last year, Cardi B only put out one single, "Bongos," in September 2023 featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
