Would Daemon Have Made A Good King?

Sitting on the majestic Iron Throne and brandishing a formidable sword, Daemon exudes an air of authority as he gazes upon his subjects. The imposing figure of Caraxes, the monstrous dragon, bursts through the fortress wall behind him, capturing the essence of its ferocity in stunning detail. This breathtaking portrayal adorns the regal halls of the Red Keep, breathing life into the fearsome creature. However, a closer observation of Daemon reveals a king who lacks the virtues of goodness and nobility.

In House of the Dragon season 1, Daemon has captured the hearts of many, despite his impulsive and merciless nature. His magnetic charisma easily overshadows his darkest deeds. It is a rare prince who would dare to face the enemy head-on, charging into battle alone. However, Daemon's audacious move resulted in the demise of the Crabfeeder and garnered him the admiration and respect of numerous Westerosi.

Given that Daemon's introduction involved brutalizing criminals on the streets of King's Landing, it is evident that he would likely become one of the darkest rulers in Westeros. His belief in his own superiority has already played a role in driving the kingdoms to rebel. While Viserys may have been too lenient as a ruler, it is indisputable that the Rogue Prince is not the leader that House of the Dragon necessitates.
