Captain Sandy agrees with Hannah Ferrier's comment about the frequent changes in chief stews on 'Below Deck Mediterranean' In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, she shares her reaction to Hannah's humorous remark

Captain Sandy Yawn may not be on good terms with Hannah Ferrier, but she does not dispute the former chief stew's opinions about Below Deck Mediterranean. In an exclusive interview with us at BravoCon on November 3, Sandy responded to Hannah's jokes about the frequent changes in chief stews on the show.

"Well, she's correct about the Below Deck Med aspect. She understands that it's not up to me. Therefore, I'm unsure of how to proceed," the captain informed Us.

Hannah, who featured in the Below Deck spinoff for five seasons, recently reacted to an Instagram clip showcasing second stew Kyle Viljoen's appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. In the video, from the October episode, Kyle and fellow stew Jessika Asai discussed their significant challenges in the yachting industry.

"Hannah replied in the comments section, expressing her understanding as to why there are attempts to replace her each season. However, she subtly hinted that she was not interested in hearing about Kyle and Jessika's experiences.

Prior to her departure, Hannah held the position of chief stew for the longest duration on Below Deck Mediterranean. Temporarily filling her role was Christine "Bugsy" Drake, until Katie Flood assumed the position in season 6. In the subsequent season, Natasha "Tasha" Webb took over briefly before Tumi Mhlongo became the current chief stew."

Hannah left after a turbulent few years working with Sandy. They began their partnership in 2017, but three years later Hannah was dismissed when bosun Malia White revealed that she had Valium and a CBD vape pen in her cabin.

Despite their difficult professional relationship, Sandy recently expressed her willingness to work with Hannah again on WWHL. During a game, Sandy stated that she would collaborate with "every" chief stew from Below Deck Med, including Hannah.

Sandy is currently showering all her admiration on Tumi.

"Honestly, I would gladly have Tumi back at any given moment. She is a remarkable chief stew and I appreciate that I remained clueless about what was happening below deck. She never let it affect the work on deck. Never did," Sandy expressed to Us on Friday. "I had no idea. She excels in that. She is the epitome of professionalism."

Tumi revealed that Kyle played a significant role in exacerbating her feud with Natalya "Nat" Scudder, causing more complications during season 8. She described him as an instigator and expressed surprise at realizing certain things for the first time while watching the show. She now clearly sees what was happening behind the scenes.
