Hannah Ferrier Teases a Potential 'Below Deck' Comeback Following Captain Sandy's Surprising Offer
Former 'Below Deck Med' star Hannah Ferrier responds to Captain Sandy Yawn's offer for a potential collaboration, hinting at a possible return to the hit reality TV show

Hannah Ferrier, a former cast member of Below Deck Mediterranean, conducted a poll following Captain Sandy's implication that she would be open to collaborating again in the future, despite their ongoing feud.
On Thursday, October 12, Hannah, 36, posted an article on her Instagram Story regarding Captain Sandy's recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. During the show, the 58-year-old captain participated in a game that involved her previous chief stews from Below Deck Mediterranean: Hannah, Katie Flood, Natasha Webb, and Tumi Mhlongo.
Sandy was asked by Andy Cohen about who she would prefer to work with again. Her response was that she would work with all of them, including Hannah. On the October 9 episode, Sandy went on to praise her former coworkers, describing them as exceptional leaders of their interior teams over the years. Following this, Hannah took to Instagram to ask her followers if she should contemplate a comeback to the show. The response was overwhelming, with a resounding yes.
Viewers are well acquainted with the ongoing conflict between Hannah and Sandy on the popular Bravo series. The two initially began their collaboration in 2017 when Sandy joined the Below Deck spinoff, but they consistently struggled to see things from the same perspective.
However, the situation took a significant turn in 2020 when bosun Malia White reported Hannah for possessing Valium and a CBD vape pen in her cabin. Despite Hannah's assertion that she had a valid prescription for the anti-anxiety medication, she was ultimately dismissed from her role on the boat.
Sandy subsequently justified her choice to terminate Hannah, stating, "If the trust between me as the captain is shattered, I cannot bring anyone along on a voyage," in an exclusive interview with We in September 2021. "Throughout the years, people have attempted to jeopardize my license due to incidents involving the crew."
Hannah asserted that she encountered difficulties with Sandy well before the Valium controversy, several months later.
On the "Kyle & Jackie O Show" podcast in January 2022, she claimed that the way the content was edited made it seem like they had a better relationship than they actually did during the years they filmed together. They were not friendly at all and each season they had to work with production to find a way for them to coexist.
Hannah also mentioned that Sandy had watched the show before joining and had already formed a negative opinion about her based on certain incidents. In fact, within 45 seconds of their first meeting, production had to intervene and tell Sandy not to speak to her in that manner.
Despite their ongoing conflict, Sandy has expressed her willingness to reconcile with her former costar.
"In all honesty, Hannah seems to have no interest in reconciling with me. I genuinely feel happy for her and support her in everything she's pursuing. I have never harbored any feelings of animosity towards her. It simply does not exist in my heart," Sandy revealed to Us in July 2022. "I sincerely wish her all the best, even though she seems to hold me responsible for our feud. But you know what? I apologize. I will not jeopardize my career for anyone. I truly wish her all the best."
At that moment, Sandy reflected on her numerous attempts to reach out to Hannah, remarking, "That is, if Hannah ever decided to open up. We used to have incredible conversations in the past. Hannah would frequently visit my cabin and share countless stories with me. So, there was definitely a connection between us. But at the end of the day, I have to focus on living my own life while she pursues hers."
