Captain Jason of Below Deck Expresses Interest in Lindsay Hubbard After Discovering Her During US Interview

'Below Deck Down Under' Captain Jason reveals his potential love interests among the single Bravolebrities during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly

Captain Jason is not actively seeking a romantic relationship on the Below Deck boat, but that does not stop him from being intrigued by the other Bravo stars.

In an exclusive interview with We, Jason participated in a game called "Ship or Sink," where he disclosed his interest in certain reality stars. Before providing his answers, Jason took a moment to look up some of the options on his phone. Notably, Lindsay Hubbard from Summer House caught his attention swiftly.

"What's her name? Let me search for her right away. Lindsay? Can you please confirm the correct spelling of her last name? Ah, Hubbard. After coming across a photo of Hubbard, who is 37 years old, online, he disclosed to Us, '[I would] ship.'"

Jason emphasized that he was not in a hurry to make any advances, considering Hubbard's recent breakup with Carl Radke. He added, "We will proceed with caution and take things slowly."

The captain had a favorable impression of Ariana Madix, whom he described as "very attractive." However, the Vanderpump Rules star is currently in a relationship with Daniel Wai after ending her nine-year partnership with Tom Sandoval due to his infidelity.

Taking a quick detour into the Below Deck universe, Jason weighed in on a romance between him and Kate Chastain.

"I'm fond of Sink. She's quite pleasant. Yeah, I really do like Kate," he expressed regarding the former chief stew, 40, who recently became a mother to son Sullivan in May.

Jason also selected the "Ship" option after researching Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak-Biermann. The Below Deck Down Under star clarified that his judgment was solely based on physical appearance, as he was unaware of Zolciak-Biermann's personal circumstances. (The 55-year-old is currently going through a contentious divorce from estranged husband Kroy Biermann.)

Jason made a big impact with the debut of his show Below Deck Down Under on Peacock in 2021, which has now been relocated to Bravo. This spinoff presented an opportunity for Jason to network with fellow reality stars, including his participation in events like BravoCon.

In a recent interview with Us, Jason alluded to having ongoing communication with a person connected to the Bravo universe.

"Sure, a couple of Bravolebrities have reached out to me via DMs. They simply expressed their excitement about seeing me at BravoCon and praised my success. I've had a few casual conversations with some reality stars from last year, just small talk. This was all in the past, and ever since season 2, they've reached out again to arrange a meetup at BravoCon and complimented my work. However, there hasn't been anything scandalous." Jason confessed that even with his newfound fame, he still faces challenges in the dating world.

"It's a difficult situation for me. I'm constantly torn between work and spending time with my 7-year-old daughter, Saskia, whom I share with my ex, Fuchsia Quinn," Jason expressed. "I remain hopeful that I can improve this situation within the next year."

Despite his challenges, Jason remains determined to find a life partner. He shared, "Now that my daughter is growing older and settled here, I would love to have a place of my own here and find time for myself. I hope that things will change for the better next year. There needs to be a shift. I'm aware that time is passing, but I believe in allowing things to happen naturally. I'm not actively seeking out dates because I simply don't have the time. If an opportunity comes my way, then great. I'm hoping for it to happen sooner rather than later."
