In her post, Shipka described Perdomo as a unique and extraordinary individual. She praised his fiery, creative, and loving personality, highlighting his playful and kind nature. Shipka also recalled the fun moments they shared on set, including Perdomo giving her piggyback rides to her trailer.
Shipka affectionately referred to Perdomo as “Chancey Pants,” highlighting how his kindness touched not only her but many others. She expressed how difficult it is to imagine a world without him and emphasized her enduring love for him.
In addition to her heartfelt words, Shipka posted a collection of photos and videos from their time working together on CAOS, which aired on Netflix from 2018 to 2020. The images included two happy selfies of the duo, a video of Perdomo playfully carrying Shipka on his back during filming, and a candid shot of the actor laughing.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Gen V star had passed away in a motorcycle accident.
In a statement to Variety on Sunday, March 30, a representative for Perdomo mentioned, “Authorities have confirmed that no other individuals were involved in the accident. His love for the arts and zest for life touched everyone who knew him, and his warmth will live on in those he held dear." The family has requested privacy as they grieve the loss of their beloved son and brother.
Just before filming for season 2 of his Prime Video series, Gen V, began, the tragic news of his passing was announced. Perdomo became a star by playing Ambrose in CAOS, the warlock cousin of Shipka’s Sabrina. He also found success as Landon in the final three After movies and as Andre on Gen V.
CAOS showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, expressed his shock and sadness over Perdomo's passing on Instagram. He described Perdomo as one of the most talented young actors he has worked with, praising him as a light. Aguirre-Sacasa remembered Perdomo as a generous, funny, open-hearted, intelligent, and soulful individual. He expressed his heartbreak and offered his thoughts and prayers to Perdomo's family and loved ones.
