Totally Killer boasts numerous surprising plot twists that make it highly compelling till the very end. Released on Friday, October 6, this captivating Prime Video series chronicles the journey of Jamie (played by Kiernan Shipka) who unintentionally travels back in time to prevent the Sweet Sixteen Killer's heinous acts. While immersed in the 80s, Jamie teams up with her mother, Pam (played by Olivia Holt), in a race against time to unveil the killer's true identity before it is too late.
Jamie discovers that the killer on her list is actually Doug, a quiet student who is bullied by his classmates. Doug seeks revenge on the group that includes Tiffany, Marisa, and Heather because they accidentally caused the death of his ex-girlfriend Trish. Meanwhile, Jamie realizes that the killer in her own timeline is actually another person - Chris. Chris started killing people, starting with Pam, in order to gain more listeners for his podcast about the Sweet Sixteen Killer. Eventually, Chris travels back in time and has a final confrontation with Jamie, resulting in his demise.

Every Time Travel Change Kiernan Shipka's Character Made in Prime Video's 'Totally Killer'
Totally Killer has plenty of plot twists along the way — but it is worth sticking around until the end to catch them all.
In the Prime Video series released on October 6, Jamie, played by Kiernan Shipka, unintentionally travels back in time to stop the notorious Sweet Sixteen Killer. While in the 1980s, she joins forces with her mother, Pam, portrayed by Olivia Holt, to uncover the murderer's identity before it's too late. Jamie has a list of potential suspects, but to her surprise, the killer is revealed to be Doug, played by Nathaniel Appiah. Doug, a quiet student who faces bullying from his peers, seeks revenge on the group that inadvertently caused the death of his former girlfriend, Trish. This group includes Tiffany, played by Liana Liberato, Marisa, played by Stephi Chin-Salvo, and Heather, played by Anna Diaz.
After exposing the true identity of the Sweet Sixteen Killer from the past, Jamie comes to the realization that there is a separate culprit in her own timeline. As it turns out, Chris, who resides in the present, has taken up the gruesome act of murder. His motive? To revive interest in his podcast about the Sweet Sixteen Killer, which had been waning after thirty years. Starting with Pam as his first victim, Chris goes on a killing spree. The story takes a twist when Chris himself travels back in time and confronts Jamie, leading to his demise.
Due to Jamie's intervention in the past, the timeline she returns to is altered from the one she left behind. In the final scene, Amelia's mother, Lauren, who had assisted Jamie in the 80s, shares a notebook detailing all the changes that occurred, ensuring Jamie is up to speed.

How Has Jamie's Family Changed?
Following a trip back in time, Jamie inadvertently reveals to Pam that she will ultimately end up with Blake, also known as Jamie's father. Throughout her remaining days in the 1980s, Jamie strives to prevent her parents from getting together prematurely. Despite her efforts, Jamie's plan fails and Pam becomes pregnant sooner than anticipated. Consequently, the couple bestows the name Jamie upon their first son, while the Jamie we are familiar with is now known as Collette.
At 34 years old, the new Jamie is happily married to Jason and they have a lovely 3-year-old daughter named Veronica.

Did Amelia Survive the Attack?
After discovering the way to reconstruct the time machine, Amelia is swiftly subdued by Chris in the initial timeline. However, their destinies undergo a transformation following the tragic demise of Chris' father during the 1980s, causing him to lose his inclination towards violence.
Amelia remains Jamie's best friend and her mother becomes a bioengineer.

How Did the Other Characters Pop Up in the Present Timeline?
In the 1990s, Randy (Jeremy Monn-Djasgnar) was infamous for his immature behavior at a party where he threw Jamie to the ground and burped in her face. However, as time passed, Randy matures and eventually becomes the principal of Vernon High School.
On the other hand, Kara (Ella Choi) rises to the position of chief of police in both timelines after attending the same school as Pam. As stated in Lauren's notebook, Kara's excitement knows no bounds when marijuana becomes legal and her brownies are acknowledged by Snoop Dogg as being exceptionally potent on a scale from 1 to high.
Before traveling back in time, Jamie discovered that Lurch, played by Brendan O'Brien, worked as the groundskeeper at the run-down amusement park. It was later revealed to the audience that Lurch was actually Trish's brother, the same girl whose tragic death inspired the series of murders. However, as a result of Jamie's time travel alterations, Lurch goes on to establish Pink Mist Games, a thriving video game empire, and dedicates himself to running an anti-bullying organization in honor of his late sister.

What Other Fun Changes Took Place?
Jamie used to be a devoted admirer of Eddie Royal, the famous musician (Tate Chernen). Nonetheless, the tragic loss of Tiffany completely transforms Jamie's outlook on life. Presently, he finds himself as the lead vocalist of a band named A Waterbed Away, which Eddie claims was born out of the profound realization of "how narrowly" he escaped death.

Is the Killer Gone From the Updated Universe?
In her notes, Lauren mentions that Chris appeared to be deeply affected by witnessing the death of his father on live TV during the '80s. As a result, he chooses to relocate to a monastery in India later in life. However, Lauren continues to monitor his whereabouts as a precautionary measure.
