Caitlyn Jenner did not hold back in sharing her thoughts on O.J. Simpson's death. On Thursday, April 11, shortly after news of Simpson's passing broke, Jenner, 74, expressed her feelings on the matter. She wrote, "Good Riddance #OJSimpson."

The family of the former athlete shared a statement announcing the passing of Simpson at the age of 76 the day before.

The statement read, "Our father, Orenthal James Simpson, passed away on April 10th after his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this difficult time, the family kindly requests privacy and understanding."

Two months after reports surfaced about Simpson receiving treatment for prostate cancer, news of his passing was confirmed. Despite his health struggles, the former athlete never publicly acknowledged his diagnosis.

Before his death, Simpson made headlines in 1994 when he was arrested and later charged with the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Notably, one of the attorneys on O.J’s legal team was Robert Kardashian, who was previously married to Kris Jenner.

Kris, who is 68 years old, was married to Robert and they had four children together - Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian. They were married from 1978 to 1991. After their divorce, Kris found love with Caitlyn, and they were in a relationship until 2013. (Robert passed away in 2003 after battling esophageal cancer.)

Caitlyn previously shared her thoughts on O.J's legal troubles, mentioning that Nicole once confided in Kris about her fear that O.J. would harm her.

"It was a really tough time," Caitlyn shared on an episode of Big Brother VIP. She mentioned how Nicole, Kris' long-time best friend, was tragically murdered. Caitlyn revealed that she had been at Nicole's house just two days before the incident. She explained that the culprit, O.J. Simpson, had threatened Nicole, saying he would get away with it because of who he was. Nicole had told Kris about this threat, which sadly came true.

Caitlyn also opened up about the strain the trial put on their family. In a 2009 interview on Dr. Phil, she recalled the moment when her daughters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé expressed their relief at O.J. Simpson's not guilty verdict. Caitlyn, however, reminded them that the verdict didn't necessarily mean he was innocent. She made it clear that she didn't want to hear his name again and had many discussions with Robert to keep their family from falling apart.

Simpson was acquitted of the murders in 1995, but he was found liable for Goldman and Nicole’s deaths in a civil trial three years later.

Caitlyn Jenner's reaction to O.J. Simpson's death is a stark reminder of the profound impact his crimes had on the lives of those involved. Jenner's close relationship with Nicole Brown Simpson and her former husband, Robert Kardashian, gave her a unique perspective on the tragedy. Her recollection of Nicole's fears and the aftermath of the trial highlights the lasting trauma and divisions that resulted from Simpson's actions.

While Jenner's blunt statement may be seen as insensitive by some, it also reflects the anger and frustration that many continue to feel towards Simpson. Despite his acquittal, the civil trial verdict and the subsequent revelations about his behavior have cast a long shadow over his legacy. Jenner's words serve as a reminder that even decades later, the wounds inflicted by Simpson's crimes have not fully healed.
