Brendan Rodgers Disappointed With Celtic's Summer Transfers: What Went Wrong?

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers expresses dissatisfaction with the club's summer transfer business despite signing nine new players Tune in to Sky Sports to watch Celtic take on Livingston on Saturday at 1230pm

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has stressed he was not "content" with his

club's summer transfer business.

The club revealed a record annual profit of £40.7m during the same week that Rodgers expressed his desire for additional signings before the September 1 deadline. Celtic brought in a total of nine players during the summer, two of whom were loaned, but unfortunately, defender Maik Nawrocki sustained an injury after making only two appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

Striker Marco Tilio is yet to make his debut as he sustained an injury while with the Australia Under-23s.

When questioned about his satisfaction with the business, Rodgers replied, "No. No, I believe every manager always seeks more, without a doubt."

"But we collaborate with the players who are currently present. I don't mean this in any derogatory manner, as every manager would admit to perhaps desiring one or two additional signings.

"The transfer window has shut, and we have the players we brought in. As a coaching manager, I will utilize the top-notch players available to us in order to elevate our performance levels to the utmost."

"And now we are preparing already for the January window and the summer window."
