Celtic have secured the services of midfielder Odin Thiago Holm on a five-year contract, pending international clearance. The talented 20-year-old, hailing from Norway, arrives from Valerenga and marks manager Brendan Rodgers' initial acquisition since his comeback to the team.
"We are thrilled to have Odin join our club and we are especially pleased to have secured his signing so early in the transfer window," said Rodgers.
"He is a player who has been in the club's scouting and recruitment system for some time.
"I have looked at him closely and believe he is someone who can make a big impact at the club.

Rodgers: Celtic return 'a very simple decision'

Brendan Rodgers has returned to Celtic as the club's new manager
Holm's arrival comes after Rodgers returned to the club as manager on a three-year-deal.
Rodgers' first tenure in Glasgow saw him secure an impressive seven trophies, including consecutive domestic trebles. However, his departure for Leicester City in the middle of the 2018/19 season left many Celtic fans disappointed. It has come to our attention that Rodgers' new contract surpasses his previous deal with Celtic, establishing him once again as the highest-paid manager in the club's history.
Celtic's board is committed to supporting Rodgers in the transfer market to aid him in achieving domestic success and competing in the Champions League, according to sources from We News.
Rodgers takes over from Ange Postecoglou, who secured back-to-back league titles and a domestic treble last season before departing for Tottenham Hotspur.
John Kennedy has decided to continue his role as assistant manager at Celtic, even though there were speculations about him joining Postecoglou at Spurs. Additionally, the first-team coaches, Stevie Woods, Gavin Strachan, and Harry Kewell, will also remain in their positions. Reflecting on this, Rodgers stated that accepting the opportunity to rejoin the club was an easy choice for him and his family.
My aim is to recreate the enjoyable times we had at Celtic in the past. I am determined to provide entertaining football, cultivate a team that brings joy to our supporters, and ultimately achieve more triumphs for them.
The club boasts an immensely impressive and gifted roster of players and staff. I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to meet and collaborate with all of them, and immediately commence our work together.
