Breaking News: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Unleash Jaw-Dropping Dual Forms for New Legendary Terapagos

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet unveil the exciting presence of multiple unique forms for the legendary Terapagos in The Indigo Disk expansion, offering players an array of captivating transformations to explore

Highlights

During the recent Pokemon Presents showcase, exciting new updates were revealed regarding the highly anticipated expansions for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These expansions introduced fascinating information about the Legendary Terapagos and an extraordinary trio of legendaries known as The Loyal Three.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero comprises the expansion packs, which will transport players to Kitakami Village and Blueberry Academy. These new locales will bring forth fresh events, tournaments, and artificial biomes. Terapagos, the game's character, can be seen in two forms: a regular version resembling a turtle with a gemstone shell, and a Terastal form with a crystalline shell adorned with elemental logos. There is a subtle suggestion of Terapagos having multiple unique appearances.

After Nintendo's latest Pokemon Presents showcase, fans were given a closer look at the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet expansions, including the forms of the Legendary Terapagos. The showcase, which was highly anticipated by Pokemon fans, provided a wealth of information on current available games, the upcoming Detective Pikachu Returns, updates on the Pokemon Horizons anime, and the World Championships event. The most exciting reveals, however, came at the end, when the spotlight turned to the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet expansion packs. Collectively known as The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, Nintendo provided in-depth details on both parts. The Teal Mask, the first part, introduced a special festival event at Kitakami Village. The second part, known as The Indigo Disk, takes players to Blueberry Academy where they can participate in a new tournament set in different artificial biomes, with numerous new and familiar Pokemon to capture, including some unique legendaries.

In previous episodes, fans were introduced to a new legendary Pokemon called Terapagos in The Indigo Disk. Although the latest trailer doesn't focus much on Terapagos, the end of the showcase reveals multiple forms in a quick shot. As pointed out by Serebii, Terapagos has two forms: a normal version resembling a turtle with a longer neck and a simple crystal shell, and a Terastal form that has been previously featured. The crystalline shell of the Terastal form includes elemental logos on each panel. The official Pokemon website hints at Terapagos having various distinct appearances, suggesting that there is more to discover.

Since Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk is still a few months away from its planned Winter release, it is highly likely that Nintendo will share more information about this second expansion later in the year. However, the reveal surprised many fans who expected the second Terapagos form to be an evolution, rather than a completely different form. Nevertheless, fans will need to capture both forms in order to complete their PokeDex.

In addition to Terapagos, The Teal Mask offers players the opportunity to catch a variety of unique Pokemon, including a group of legendary Pokemon known as The Loyal Three. These legendary Pokemon, known as part of the Kitakami folklore, consist of the masked Ogerpon Pokemon, the bear-like Okidogi, the Monkey-inspired Munkidori, and the bird Fezandipiti. It appears that these Pokemon will have a significant role in the game's storyline, although their typing and moveset remain unknown at this time.

The highly anticipated games Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are now available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
