According to a renowned leaker of Atlus-developed games, there are plans to release Persona 5: The Phantom X outside of China, albeit in a limited capacity. The information comes from a Twitter user known as Midori, who has been sharing accurate information about Atlus projects, including the development of Persona 6. Many of Midori's leaks have been proven correct, such as the early reveal of Persona 3 Reload.
Persona 5: The Phantom X is a spin-off of Persona 5, developed by Atlus and Perfect World Games for mobile and PC platforms. Initially announced exclusively for the Chinese gaming market, the game allows players to assume the role of Wonder, a new Phantom Thief, as they venture into Palaces within the Metaverse to change the hearts of villains. Fans are eager to try out the adapted gameplay of Persona 5 on mobile and PC, although the game currently appears to be limited to China. However, Midori suggests that there are plans to release the game outside of China, potentially starting with a limited release in Japan.
Phantom X's potential release outside of China was discussed in relation to one of her tweets about the game. In the tweet, she mentioned that August would be a month focused on sharing more information about the title. Additionally, she confirmed that the second beta test for the game would be happening soon. Another tweet mentioned plans for the game to be released in Japan first, but it would require some additional time.
