The first two days of the beta will be exclusive to those who have pre-ordered the game on PlayStation. After that, it will be an open beta for all PlayStation owners. The developers have also planned a second beta from October 12 to October 16, which will be available to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players. The early access period for Xbox and PC players will end on October 13, and then the beta will be open to all users on all platforms for the remaining three days.October 6-7 (PlayStation early access)
October 8-10 (PlayStation open beta)
October 12-13 (Xbox and PC early access, PlayStation open beta)
From October 14-16, the open beta for Modern Warfare 3 will be available on all platforms. Just like last year's Modern Warfare 2 beta, participating in the multiplayer try-out for Modern Warfare 3 will be simple. All you have to do is download the experimental build of the game from Battle.net, Steam, PlayStation Store, or Xbox Store during the open beta period. If you pre-order the game, you will either be automatically enrolled into the test on your chosen platform, or you will receive a beta code to redeem on CallOfDuty.com if you purchased a physical copy of Modern Warfare 3.
Participating in the Modern Warfare 3 beta on PlayStation consoles and PC is completely free. Xbox console owners can also join the test without any charges during the three-day multi-platform open beta period until October 16. However, for early access to the beta on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, an Xbox Game Pass Core membership or a higher tier of Microsoft's subscription-based gaming service is required.
In previous Call of Duty betas, only a few maps were available, but Activision has not yet specified the extent of the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer tests. More details are expected to be announced on October 5, which will be an exciting day for Call of Duty fans.
