In Date A Live season 5, Aya Endo will portray the enigmatic character Mio Takamiya. Mio has ties to both Shido and Mana's pasts and is recognized as the Spirit of Origin, responsible for the emergence of other Spirits.

The Date A Live series is an adaptation of a Japanese light novel series authored by Koshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. It first premiered as an anime in 2013, produced by AIC Plus+.
The story revolves around Shido Itsuka, a high school student who encounters a mysterious armored girl following the devastation caused by a Spacequake. To prevent further calamities and safeguard the world, Shido's sister-in-law, Kotori, compels him to embark on a date with the girl and win her affections.
