Scheana Shay conquered a major motherhood fear at the happiest place on Earth.
Last week, I accomplished something significant for myself and my daughter. Those familiar with me are aware of the numerous apprehensions I had about becoming a mother and handling things independently with Summer," Shay, 38, shared on Instagram on Wednesday, September 27. "It took me a long time to feel at ease driving alone with her, taking her to music class alone, and so on."
Of all the intimidating places, Shay had found large parks like Disneyland particularly challenging in the past.
"My therapist asked me to rate my level of exposure therapy on a scale of 1 to 10. At first, I put taking her to an amusement park alone at 10, but later I changed it to an 8-9. Ultimately, flying alone with her got a score of 10," she shared. "Guess what? We did it! A mother-daughter Disney day at California Adventure with zero assistance."
Shay shared a social media post featuring photos of her and her 2-year-old daughter Summer having a fantastic time. She mentioned, "We went on rides, met princesses, and had a blast! After spending about 4 1/2 hours, @cortney.erin joined us at Disneyland and the fun continued. The full vlog is now available on my channel today! @summermoon, let's aim high and plan our next adventure!"

Becoming a mother in April 2021, Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay, alongside her husband Brock Davies, welcomed their daughter Summer. Their journey as parents began the same year they tied the knot, culminating in a beautiful ceremony in Mexico in August 2022.
“Our hearts are overflowing,” wrote the host of the "Scheananigans" podcast alongside their first family photo on Instagram, celebrating the arrival of Summer. "We're experiencing a whirlwind of emotions and couldn't be more excited to be Summer's parents!"
Meanwhile, Davies, 33, expressed his admiration for Shay in his own post, stating, "Yesterday, I witnessed the incredible love @scheana displayed while giving birth to our beautiful baby girl. Today, baby girl passed her final tests while we stayed by mamma bear's side in the High-Risk unit. @scheana was diagnosed with HELLP syndrome, a rare variant of preeclampsia. Mamma bear is doing great, and baby and daddy are holding the fort down for her."
Shay openly discussed the transformative impact of motherhood on her life. On Summer's first birthday, she expressed her disbelief that her little angel had already turned one year old. She acknowledged that time flies and described Summer as strong, fearless, smart, funny, and so much more. Shay affectionately referred to Summer as her "sour patch kid" and declared her unwavering commitment to doing anything for her. She referred to Summer as her sweet rainbow baby and emphasized that she is a dream come true. Shay also shared her and Davies' future plans to expand their family. She revealed that she intends to turn her eggs into embryos and is considering options such as surrogacy, adoption, or taking their chances naturally. However, they will not discuss these plans until after Summer's first birthday.
Earlier this year, Davies said he and Shay weren’t putting pressure on themselves to have more kids.

"We've decided to put our plans for having a second baby on hold, considering everything we've been through. I don't want to put any pressure on it during my next period," Davies shared with Us in June. "Right now, we're just enjoying this upcoming year and focusing on building our family."
He continued, "Every time Scheana and I see [Summer], we can't help but smile because she is pure joy. She brings so much love into our lives. Taking care of her full-time has made me truly appreciate the hard work that full-time moms or dads who stay at home put in. It's challenging, but it's incredibly rewarding to witness her growth and development."
