Following the release of the most recent manga chapter, numerous enthusiasts reflected on Naruto's manga and successfully uncovered an enigmatic figure in the backdrop of a panel. The said panel is derived from Naruto chapter 687, wherein Kaguya Otsutsuki and Zetsu confront Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Obito, and Sakura.
After Kaguya impaled Obito with one of her rods, his body began to rapidly disintegrate. Meanwhile, Naruto desperately tapped into his Sage of Six Paths chakra in an attempt to rescue Obito. As this tense moment unfolded, Zetsu mercilessly mocked Obito's predicament. However, amidst the chaos, a mysterious figure loomed in the background, barely visible yet undeniably present. Although initially dismissed by fans as a mere oversight by the mangaka, this enigmatic silhouette could potentially hold the key to the most significant foreshadowing in the entire history of manga.

According to fans, the silhouette depicted Boruto, who appeared to have traveled to the past and witnessed his father and mentor fighting Kaguya Otsutsuki during the events of Naruto Shippuden. This chapter was published in 2014, while the first chapter of the sequel series was released in 2016. Therefore, it is possible that Mangaka Masashi Kishimoto created the silhouette with the intention of incorporating it into the plot of the sequel series.
Furthermore, a significant clue can be found in panel 687 of Naruto. In this panel, Zetsu describes Obito as someone who is "hated by both ally and foe, with no family or friends to mourn for him," and who is "all alone with no legacy." Interestingly, this description could also apply to Boruto's circumstances. Considering that the silhouette was only shown in this particular panel, it is conceivable that the Mangaka may have been attempting to foreshadow future events through Naruto.
The Time Slip Arc in Boruto features an intriguing theory - how did Boruto successfully travel back to the past? Within this anime canon arc, Sasuke Uchiha and his student embark on a journey through time using a device to confront Urashiki Momoshiki.
While the arc's development may have been overlooked by many fans, given its non-manga canon status, it undeniably proves the existence of Time Leap within the universe of the franchise. Hence, there is a high possibility that the Momoshiki vessel utilized a device or ability to travel back in time.

Furthermore, it is possible that the protagonist has fully tapped into the untapped powers of Jougan. As the capabilities of Jougan have yet to be revealed, it is plausible that it possesses the ability to manipulate time.
Similarly, there is a theory suggesting that both Sasuke and Boruto traveled back in time for training purposes. Faced with imminent pursuit by the Five Great Nations, the mentor-student pair had no escape route. Consequently, they made the decision to journey to a point in the past where they were not regarded as fugitives.
