Ryan Reynolds teased how his lack of slumber as a father of four inspired his new series Bedtime Stories.

Ryan Reynolds, the star of Deadpool, recently announced on Instagram that he will soon be releasing a show called Bedtime Stories. The idea for the show came to him on the same day that his fourth child was born. Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, have three daughters named James, Inez, and Betty, and welcomed their fourth child earlier this year. The couple has not yet revealed the name of their newest addition.

"I want to share something special with you," said the Canadian actor as he unveiled the official trailer for his new show on Thursday, adding a personal touch by sharing a snippet from his home life. Speaking in a gentle, soothing voice, he expressed his belief in the power of stories and their ability to stay with us long after they're told. "So, let me tell you a bedtime story," he said, inviting his audience to join him on a journey of imagination and wonder.

In the trailer, we see the founder of Aviation Gin take a leisurely stroll through various settings including a child's bedroom, a library, an empty kitchen, and a sitting room with a cozy fireplace. A sense of mystery and intrigue is added as he warns viewers to "rest your tired bones" but also cautions them not to fall asleep. Additionally, the trailer features the actor sitting on a roof, gazing up at the stars, further heightening the sense of suspense.

The upcoming show, produced by Ryan Reynolds' company Maximum Effort and set to premiere on Fubo on June 20th, aims to provide a solution for both adults and children who struggle with falling asleep. The tagline, "From an anxious mind. Comes a restful show," suggests that the show may be helpful for those who experience anxiety or racing thoughts at bedtime. Despite his own sleep struggles, Reynolds has managed to maintain a busy schedule, including celebrating the promotion of his co-owned soccer team, Wrexham AFC, to the English Football League in April.

During the celebratory cheers, Reynolds announced that he and his wife, the Gossip Girl actress, would not be attending the Met Gala this year, which is a regular event for them. Reynolds, the Just Friends actor, recently shared with Extra that he is overjoyed to have four children and is content with the impact it has had on their social life. (Reynolds has also been busy working on Deadpool 3.)

Despite the demands of caring for their newborn, the couple has managed to squeeze in some playful banter on social media. In a May post, Reynolds shared a photo of himself lounging in a park, sporting a white tank and khakis, with a caption that read, "Summer in New York makes me sorry for the way I treated winter in New York."

The actress who captured the photo, from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, expressed her admiration for it by sharing it on her Instagram Story. She embellished the risqué picture with sriracha sauce and pepper emojis, along with a warning sign that says "Caution: Extra Spicy."
